Little-known fact: Sharon Stone is also an artist and her artwork actually appears in shows. Well, the iconic actress just shared a little behind-the-scenes photo of one of her projects on Instagram, and she’s looking seriously strong these days.
The 65-year-old star casually dropped a photo of herself applying painter’s tape to a canvas while wearing spandex short-shorts. There’s a lot going on in the pic—paint everywhere, a massive canvas, photos up on the walls—but it’s hard to miss the fact that Sharon is flashing some sculpted legs as she gets to work.
“At work in my studio,” she wrote in the caption. “I know…bend at the knees 😳.”
Naturally, people cheered her on in the comments section. “Can't wait to see the finished painting! ❤️ (Also, the muscle tone and core strength are impressive!! 🔥),” one person wrote. There were also fire emojis for days.
Sharon had a near-fatal stroke in 2001, and she previously told Oprah that it took her seven years to recover. “I lost my radiance,” she said. Luckily, she managed to get it back—and then some.
So…what’s Sharon doing to be so fit these days? Well, she’s working hard and proud of it. (A 2021 Vogue profile noted that she showed off “rock-hard abs” during the interview.)
“All you have to do is move,” she told Vogue. “People think that you have to go to the gym and you have to do 3,000 pounds of weight all the time, but you don’t. You have to move your body, and add a little bit of resistance.”
Sharon said she makes it a point to get moving throughout her day. “I do it when I’m on set. I do leg lifts and back kicks and pop down on the ground and do some jackknifes,” she said. “My crew is always like, ‘That’s so cool that you just throw down and do some kickbacks.’ Also, I do all my ‘arm jazz’ with these lead weights. Pushing upwards for 15 minutes with a lead weight in your hand makes a lot of difference.”
Sharon will pop on weighted bracelets, too. “Just leave them on all day because you’d be amazed how much working out you can do on your computer with a couple of pounds on your arms,” she says. “These little things make a big difference.”
Worth noting: She digs the ThighMaster, too. “Frankly, it is sensational,” she said. “I put that between my legs while I’m watching TV, and my kids and all their teenage friends think it’s hilarious but they do it too.”
Sharon told The New York Times in 2018 that she also likes Pilates and circuit training. “Or I might put on music and dance my brains out,” she said, adding, “I’m not the person who will get on a treadmill and stare at a wall.”
Sharon is pretty regimented about what she eats. “I don’t eat processed food. I don’t drink caffeine, and very rarely will have a soda or alcohol,” she told The Times. “But I eat meat and dark chocolate. I sugar my tea if I feel like it. I have celiac disease, so I don’t eat gluten. Otherwise, I just eat like a person—whatever I’m hungry for.”
